Written wedding vows before

Your Wedding vows are the words that will forever remain in your partner’s heart and memory. So you want to ensure that you express exactly what you are feeling and how much you love them. Most people have never written Wedding vows before and they aren’t quite sure how to communicate what they feel into words. Here are some helpful guidelines to ensure that the feelings in your heart are encompassed in your Wedding vows:

1. Sit down with your fiancée and put some general expectations in place for your Wedding vows - such as how long and how in-depth they should be.

2. Begin brainstorming. Think about your relationship and everything you’ve gone through together. Focus, perhaps, on a specific situation such as the moment when you realized that this was the person you were meant to be with.

3. If you use nicknames or lovable expressions with your fiancée (honey or sweetheart) you may want to incorporate these into your Wedding vows.

4. If tradition is important to you, review some examples of conventional Wedding vows. Most begin with “in the name of God, I (your name) take you (your fiancée’s name) to be my lawfully wedded wife/husband.” You may consider reciting your vows in a similar manner.

5. Avoid sad memories or stories about you and your partner fighting. Wedding vows are meant to express the joys of being together. Therefore you should focus on the positive.

6. Once you’ve jotted down your ideas, you’ll want to express them in a smooth and flowing manner. You may want to start with past memories and work your way to the present instead of jumping randomly from topic to topic, as this will give the impression that you took little time to prepare your vows.

7. Incorporate common expressions of love such as “I love you” or “I can’t live with out you”.

8. Once you have completed your vows be sure to read them over 2 or 3 times to ensure that they convey exactly what you want your partner to know. You might want to have a friend, family member or your Wedding officiant to read them to ensure that they are appropriate and meaningful.

It’s important to personalize your Wedding vows and make them unique to you and your fiancée. Wedding vows are meant to convey your feelings of love. They explain why you’re choosing to spend the rest of your life with your partner. Regardless of what you write, your partner loves you and is going to cherish your Wedding vows as long as they come from the heart.

Bridal Hairstyles for a Themed Wedding

Many Wedding themes will center on a certain era or century, for instance a medieval theme or 1920’s art deco. Whilst others may center on the location of the Wedding or take fairytales and fantasy as their inspiration. Having a themed Wedding means you have to pay extra special attention to the finer details, after all there is little point in having a theme if your guests cannot tell what it is

So having bought your Wedding dress which coordinates beautifully with your theme you must then think about how you will style your hair for the big day. Of course, your hairstyle has to compliment you, but it must also compliment your Wedding dress and your Wedding theme.

Here is my pick of some of the best hairstyles for popular Wedding themes:

1920’s/1930’s

Go for pixie style bobs, waves and glamorous side swept, set styles.

Medieval Wedding

For a medieval Wedding choose romantic curls in a half-up half-down style with a small crown or tiara. Alternatively add fresh flowers to braids and loose curls.

Beach Wedding

Beach Weddings are so often casual, relaxed affairs so choose a simple hairstyle with loose curls, braids and half-up half-down styles. Accent your style with fresh flowers, feather and silk flower fascinators and simple combs.

Fairytale Wedding

Fairytale Weddings can call for formal updo’s, romantic curls and ringlets or a combination of both.

Your hair at your wedding is important

How you wear your hair at your Wedding is important. Above all else you Wedding Hairstyle has to be comfortable. It should compliment not only your face but your dress as well.

It does no harm to have your regular hairdresser practise on you a few times. By doing this you may decide that the particular Wedding Hairstyle you have dreamt about having since you were a small child actually does nothing for the shape of your face!

If you want a Wedding updo and you have relatively short hair then although with many grips and much hairspray it is possible, do remember that your hairdresser can do the impossible but miracles are outwith their reach!

Try to get a rough idea of what sort of style you are looking at for your Wedding hairstyle as far in advance as possible. This gives your hair a chance to grow to a length that is more manageable for your hairdresser. After all long hair can easily be cut but it is harder and more expensive to add to your hair.

Always remember it is you that is getting married and not some fairytale image of you that you have held in your imagination since you were six! You dont want to walk down the aisle to your beloved and have him not recognize you because you Wedding hairstyle is so different!

Try not to go for something very different. Chances are you will get fed up with it. If an updo requires a lot of help to stay up then as a Wedding hairstyle it probably isn’t right. Your Wedding hairstyle has to stay in place for up to 10 hours, a lot to ask of any hairstyle but particularly difficult when a veil is shoved in, you are being swung around the dance floor and everyone wants to hug you!!

If you decide to opt for flowers or a tiara amongst your Wedding hairstyle then make sure that they are securely attached but not hurting.

I would suggest go for elegance and comfort. Something that suits you and brings out your best features. If you can mange a Wedding hairstyle that looks just as good down as up then you grab it with both hands, a comb and some grips!!
