How to Make a 3 Level Wedding Cake
Today Wedding cakes are a huge affair, the bigger the better, the fancier the better too. Having Wedding cakes with fountains to light them up is all the rage. This article takes a look at just how you go about making a tiered Wedding cake stand. Yes, some people make their own Wedding cakes instead of buying them! Some make them out of sheer pride because they happen to be excellent bakers; others unfortunately are forced to do it at home due to budget constraints.
Since it’s a tiered Wedding cake stand you will need to have three cake tins of varying sizes - 12, 9 and 6 inches should do just fine. Bake your cakes as you normally would and then put the pans aside. Cut the three cakes into two layers each so that you have six halves in total.
Cut out of cardboard 3 circles that are the same circumference of your 3 tins. Set the bottom halves of the cake on their matching cardboard pieces. Now is the fun part where you get to decorate the cakes. Start by putting your choice of filling between each pair of cake halves. The cakes will need to set in the fridge for around thirty minutes. Now bring them out and start placing the bottom layer on the stand you have prepared and then place the other two layers on. Don’t forget to put protection between each layer of the cake to ensure that they stay in place. This is very important so do not forget or you will have your entire cake toppling over.
Now you can complete your decorations. You can also decorate the stand itself, which should ideally match the colors of the Wedding. That’s it! Your new tiered Wedding cake and stand is now ready for the big day.
